This past week in Sales Force Management, Professor Sooder brought in a guest speaker. Our guest, Jeff Lehman, is an entrepreneur, an author, and an alumni of UCF. Jeff wrote The Sales Manager's Mentor to guide new managers to make the transition from a successful salesperson to an effective sales manager. To achieve this, Jeff has devised Five Big Concepts:
1) Be a mentor not a tormentor.
2) Manager + Mentor = Sales Leader
3) Salespeople HAVE to work for Sales Managers. They WANT to work for Sales Leaders.
4) Always be focused on helping your salespeople and your customers create more of their customers.
5) Find mentors for yourself.
